Construction dust is not ordinary dust. Drywall dust hangs in the air for hours, settles into every surface, seam and fabric in a house, and returns twice more after the first clean. This is a specialist multi-pass service using HEPA filtration, with the right products for paint flecks, adhesive residue, grout haze and joint-compound film — scoped for a whole house rather than a single room.

The renovations we clean after in west Queens are mostly done by people who intend to stay: a kitchen brought forward thirty years, a basement finished into proper living space, a dormer or extension added, a bathroom rebuilt. These are houses, not apartments, and that changes the dust problem entirely. In an apartment the dust has one floor to settle on. In a three-story house with an open stair, it travels — a basement build-out will leave the top floor dusty, and a kitchen renovation will put a film on bedrooms two levels up. Almost everyone underestimates this, and it's the main reason a house still feels dirty a week after the contractor's own clean-up.

So we scope the whole house rather than the renovated room. The first pass removes bulk debris and heavy dust with HEPA-filtered equipment, strictly top-down through every affected floor — ceilings, high ledges, light fixtures, then walls, surfaces and finally floors. The second pass, once airborne dust has settled, collects everything that fell during the first. A third detail pass handles the rest: paint flecks scraped from glass and hardware, adhesive and label residue removed from new appliances, grout haze polished off new tile, joint-compound film wiped from frames and tracks, and inside every new cabinet before anything goes into it.

Older houses add a specific risk we plan around: brand-new surfaces sitting directly against century-old ones. A renovated bathroom might put new sealed grout beside original hexagonal tile; a new kitchen might meet original pine flooring or old woodwork at the doorway. The products that suit one can permanently damage the other, so we work surface by surface rather than applying one cleaner throughout. We coordinate directly with contractors, can come in between trades, and quote flat once the scope is clear — a bathroom refit and a whole-house renovation are entirely different jobs.
